180th "Night at the Mud Hens" Published July 30, 2009 By Master Sgt. John Gibson Fighter Wing Aug/Sept 2009 -- On May 29, the 180th Fighter Wing hosted another "Night at the Mud Hens" and saw the largest turn-out to date. This year we had a total of 225 members, along with their families, attend this fun-filled event, located along the third-base line, up in the "Coup". Our own Master Sgt. Janeen Przysiecki, 2008 Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year, was randomly selected to throw out the "ceremonial" first pitch. Janeen threw out one heck of a smokin' strike! Congratulations Janeen! Our own Toledo Mud Hens squared off against the Charlotte Knights, and ended up beating them with a score of 5-1. The buffet was full of good food, the stands were full of good friends, and EVERYONE had a good time, correction a GREAT TIME! At the conclusion of the game, all of us were treated to a fantastic fireworks display. What a way of capping off an already tremendous evening. This event, as it has been in the past, was put on by the 180th Officers Club, with support from the 180th MWR Fund. A really big "Thank You" goes out to Lt. Col. Mike Timbrook for again planning and organizing such a successful good-time. Plan ahead for next year. I cannot wait to see how many tickets we can sell for that game. See you then..!
