Employers Scheduled for Day of Fun Education Published July 16, 2008 By Capt. Gary Bentley 180th Fighter Wing July 2008 -- We are pleased to announce the first Operation North Coast employer event scheduled for September 9, 2008. This event is designed to educate employers about the mission and functions of the 180th Fighter Wing and Camp Perry. This is a joint event between the Ohio Air and Army National Guard. Recognizing that close cooperation of employers and the Ohio National Guard is essential to continued mission success, we are holding an all-day event for employers. The schedule of events is as follows: 7:30 a.m. - 8 a.m. Employers arrive at the Baker Building - 180th FW 8 a.m. - 9 a.m. Employers enjoy breakfast and briefings from Maj.Gen. A.J. Feucht and Col. Mark Bartman 9a.m. - 11 a.m. Employers receive tours and a close up visit with an F-16 in the hangar 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Employers are flown via Chinook helicopter to Camp Perry 12 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. Employers enjoy MRE at Camp Perry 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Employers receive hands-on training/demonstrations at Camp Perry 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Employers are flown via Chinook helicopter to 180th FW 4:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. Employers report back to Baker Building for closing remarks and then departure This unique event is open for all Army and Air Guardsmen in Northern Ohio to nominate their employers. The event will be limited to about 30 employers and the slots are expected to go quickly. Your employer is eligible for this event even if they have participated in one of our normal bosslifts. In order to nominate your employer, you must complete the form on the Stinger online and email it to Lisa.Gammon@us.army.mil and gary.bentley@us.af.mil You may bring your completed form to me and I will email it to Major Gammon. The deadline for nominations is August 6. Your employer will be contacted if they are selected for attendance.
