The Afterburners Club, which is comprised of retired members of the 180th Fighter Wing, has graciously donated $1,000 toward the purchase of Minutemen statues for retiring members of the 180th Fighter Wing. The 180th Chief's Council approached the Afterburners citing the funding issues that the Wing was encountering and requested any assistance they could provide to keep this program alive. Afterburners member, retired Lt. Col. Stephen Drake, former Civil Engineering Squadron Commander, informed the Chief's Council that the Afterburners would donate the money to help with this cause. Because of their generous donation, the unit was able to purchase 10 more Minutemen statues. The Chief's Council, on behalf of the entire 180th Fighter Wing, would like to say thank you to all of the Afterburners for this generous donation.
