Stingers Prove Lethal at Combat Archer
First Lt. Pete Fritz, an F-16 Fighter Pilot with the 180th Fighter Wing, Ohio Air National Guard, conducts a preflight inspection on an Air Intercept Missile, commonly referred to as an AIM 9 sidewinder, before a training sortie Sept. 15, 2015, at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla. About 120 Airmen from the 180th FW traveled to Tyndall to participate in the Combat Archer exercise, a weapons system evaluation program designed to test the effectiveness of our Airmen and air-to-air weapon system capability of our F-16s and other combat aircraft. Training allows our pilots to provide a vital link for the defense of our country. Air National Guard photo by Senior Master Sgt. Beth Holliker/Released
