Chief Master Sgt. Jeff Managhan, air crew flight equipment superintendent at the 180th Fighter Wing, explains the parachute activativation process to Maj. Gen. Deborah Ashenhurst, Ohio National Guard Adjutant General, prior to a familiarization flight. The 180th Fighter Wing hosted Maj. Gen. Ashenhurst for an F-16 familiarization flight over the Grayling Range in Northern Michigan Nov., 3. Ashenhurst completed aircrew flight equipment and life support training and took to the skies for an up-close look at how the 180th FW supports joint combat operations to protect and support ground forces. Maj. Gen. Ashenhurst is responsible for the military preparedness of the Ohio Organized Militia, which includes the Ohio Army and Air National Guard.
