Lt. Col. Steve Nordhaus, Col. Keith Newell, Col. Mark Bartman, and Lt. Col. Scott Reed attended a memorial service held by Pratt & Whitney on May 30, 2008. During the memorial services Pratt & Whitney dedicated 1/10th scale models of the F-16 and F-16 as a "Tribute to Powering Freedom" and in honor of all of the men and women who have flown and supported these aircraft and who have fallen in battle while doing so. Pratt & Whitney has honored Lt. Col. Kevin Sonnenberg, who was killed in June of 2007 when his aircraft crashed in Iraq, by placing his name on the canopy rail of the F-16 aircraft model.
