Range 1, a multi-purpose machine gun range at Fort Custer Training Center in Battle Creek, Michigan, is used to conduct live-fire training with weapons such as the M-240B, a belt-felt, gas-operated machine gun that shoots 7.62mm rounds. Airmen assigned to the Ohio Air National Guard’s 180FW security forces squadron conducted training on the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon, M240-B medium machine gun, M203 under-barrel grenade launcher and the M4 carbine.
